Engineer, Operations Engineering-NPI-AS

The candidate will be a member of a multi-site K&S team that develops and sustains semiconductor assembly equipment. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, documentation and testing of mechanical subsystems that is part of a high-performance semiconductor assembly machine under development. Knowledge & Experience requirements• Minimum 0-2 years of precision mechanical engineering design. • Capable of using 3D CAD solid modeling tools (such as NX or ProEngineer), Finite Element Modeling (Nastran or equivalent), and MS Office tools.• Ability to perform analysis related to thermal, fluid, motion, vibration, and pneumatic systems.• Ability to perform testing, write reports, and evaluate prototype designs against product requirements. • Ability to interpret requirements and Design tooling according to customer’s specifications and requirements• Ability to perform machine trouble shooting and testing• Knowledge of materials and production methods.• Knowledge of low volume manufacturing methods and mechanical engineering standards including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance).• Ability to perform detailed analysis related to motion systems and mechanism designs.Education Requirements• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or robotics engineeringOther requirements• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to think outside the box• Innovative thinking• Positive Attitude• Team player with a cross functional mindset• Result-driven and can-do mentality• Analyzes, designs, and tests electro-mechanical systems for high-performance multi-axis robotic semiconductor manufacturing equipment and process equipment.• Under guidance of a senior engineer, performs analysis and calculations necessary to ensure designs meet requirements including performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets. • Evaluates prototype designs against requirements, performs testing, documents and analyses data and write reports.• Support fabrication/build of prototype and production systems• Work closely with Electrical Engineering and Software teams to achieve module performance • Helps to create Bill of Materials for the machine, as well as related accessories and kits.• Mange and coordinate the integration of multiple subsystems and modules into the overall CAD model of a large machine with >2,000 unique components• Leverage various software tools and lab equipment to collect data • Customer liaising • Other duties as assignedIndirect Labor (IDL)Posting Date: 2026-09-11
