Job Title: Materials Manager Reporting To: Materials Excellence Manager Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA Responsibilities Lead production control (PC) functions for all Value Streams for the Central Plants Supervise ERP planners, materials analysts, and other roles as assigned Maintain adequate oversight on timely issuance of production orders and material movement through the plant in support of the overall OTS KPI Ensure accurate inventory transactions, including cycle counting in‑house and offshore Communicate and coordinate between different functions and levels with stakeholders Analyze system data to assure production orders are effectively cancelled or closed on a regular basis Prioritize work for the team in full support of the monthly shipping plan and goal Lead conflict resolution within, as well as external to, the PC team Provide active feedback while identifying areas for training and improvement for the PC team Drive a continuous improvement culture for workflows, processes, and procedures Perform other duties as needed or assigned Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Scheduling to optimize part settings to maintain right inventory levels and support customer delivery commitments Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with in‑house and offshore inventory Assure the accuracy and integrity of data in the computer‑based materials system by maintaining appropriate control procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline 5 years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Operations 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience Experience working in an ERP system Strong interpersonal and team‑based skills Benefits Financial Rewards: compensation package, annual profit sharing, matching 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Work/Life Balance: flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program Health & Welfare: comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and Employee Assistance Plan plus supplemental benefits Professional Skills Development: tuition assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other growth programs Diverse and Inclusive Workplace: employee resource groups, cultural events and celebrations Schedule Monday – Thursday: 9‑hour shifts Friday: half day Compensation Salary Range (Blacksburg, VA): $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually. Base salary ranges represent the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries may vary based on location, experience and performance. This position may also include annual bonuses and employee stock purchase plan participation.
