Technician II

Verdantas is seeking a Technician II to join our Florida team. In this role, you will support a variety of environmental projects by performing advanced technical work, analyzing complex data, reviewing technical reports, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage assignments both independently and in a team environment. What You'll Do:

• Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials, structures, and systems
• Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
• Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
• Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
• Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred
• 2+ years of experience in environmental, geotechnical, or construction-related fieldwork
• Familiarity with field sampling techniques, soil and groundwater testing, and use of field instruments
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers
• Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules

Salary Range:

The starting salary for this position is $28.00 per hour, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
