Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Alton, Illinois. The role involves providing patient care in a 22- and 23-bed acute care unit with a focus on diverse patient populations including sepsis, congestive heart failure, stroke, wounds, trachs, chest tubes, and pneumonia. The position features night shifts, a 12-hour schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, and requires a licensed RN with BLS certification and ACLS preferred.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application has been initiated, active license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Candidate must be familiar with NG tubes, drains, feeding tubes, and tube feedings.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification.
• Float: Do not float, nurses will remain on the unit.
• Additional Information:
  • Local rate policies apply to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.
  • Orientation involves two shifts with a preceptor and educator, with a third shift on their own team.
  • No call or standby requirements.
  • Holiday and weekend schedules are every other week, with specific holidays observed.
  • No Vents or advanced respiratory support titration required; nurses are responsible for troubleshooting but do not titrate drips or oxygen.
  • Telemetry monitored by ICU techs using Phillips monitors; nurses need to read their own strips.
  • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; scrubs will be provided.
  • Date of entry: 08/04/2025.
  • No trauma level designation.
