Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit – Maryland

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week schedule (either Saturday or Sunday). Patient ratio of 1:2.

Highlights:

• 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serving infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations
• Diverse case mix including respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, pain management, and sepsis
• Manage moderate sedation, continuous drips, arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Cerner EMR system
• Floating required to NICU and Pediatrics based on hospital needs
• Approximately 40 hours of orientation including virtual, clinical, and on-unit training

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• BLS/BCLS, PALS, and Basic EKG certifications required
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience
• Central line and PICC line management experience
• Experience with anti-seizure medications, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• ICP monitoring experience required
• Experience caring for ventilated pediatric patients and managing acute airways
• BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and chest tube management experience
• Proficiency with ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP equipment
• Cerner charting system experience required
