Emergency Room Social Worker, MCSA Night Shift

ED Social Worker Shift : 12 hour night shifts, either 3 p.m.–3 a.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. (Sunday, Thursday, Friday or Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Employment Type : Full time. Position Details: The Social Worker intervenes with patients who have complex psychosocial needs, requires assistance with eligibility determination for social programs and funding sources, and qualifies for community assistance from a variety of special funds and agencies. In addition, the ED Social Worker offers crisis intervention to patients and families with psychosocial needs and coordinates and facilitates the development of a discharge plan of care for high‑risk patient populations. Responsibilities include behavioral health/lethality assessments, recommendations, and placement in inpatient psychiatric hospitals as indicated. The role may be conducted virtually at other sites. Qualifications: Master's degree in social work from an accredited program. LISW license in the state of Ohio required. At least two years recent discharge planning experience in an acute care setting and knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic computer skills.
