Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Grinder / Manufacturing Prep Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position will perform a variety of production and machine-support duties, including operating CNC grinding equipment, preparing and inspecting parts, deburring, organizing materials, and following established work instructions.

The ideal candidate has good mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous manufacturing, CNC, grinding, or machine-shop experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate CNC grinding and other machining equipment as trained.
• Prepare parts and materials for machining and production operations.
• Load and unload parts and materials from machines.
• Work from drawings, written instructions, and established procedures.
• Read and follow basic drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Preset tools using a tool measuring machine, as required.
• Monitor machine operations and make basic adjustments as needed.
• Clean, deburr, sort, and organize parts as required.
• Inspect parts during production for visible defects and quality issues.
• Accurately count, identify, label, and organize parts and materials.
• Prepare and stage materials for the CNC and manufacturing departments.
• Use basic hand tools and production equipment as required.
• Detect and report improper machine operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual circumstances to the Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Follow established quality standards and production procedures.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and orderly.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, CNC, grinding, warehouse, or machine-shop experience is preferred 
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis; assistance is required when lifting items over 50 lbs.
