Who we are looking for Experienced SLP, enthusiastic about providing functional rehabilitation wherever life happens, including home, school, work, or community settings. Ready to treat patients beyond a staged environment into real life experiences such as cooking in their kitchen, navigating grocery stores, restaurants, outdoor activities, and workplaces. Thrives in an autonomous setting and values being part of a collaborative team of dynamic therapists. Must be willing to work in San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Santa Maria, Templeton and surrounding areas. What you will receive Flexible schedule created by you. Paid per hour (not just per visit). Responsibilities Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Regularly reassess the effectiveness of treatment plans and attend staffing meetings and family conferences. Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources. Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, client, and family members. Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care, and enhanced patient outcomes. What you will need Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program. Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice. Current CPR certification in accordance with state regulations. Minimum one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist. Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred. Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Capability to lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures while moving, lifting, or transferring patients. Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to walk, stand, and stand for extended periods. Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and position frequently. May be required to complete a health screen or examination prior to assignment and periodically thereafter to verify physical capability with or without reasonable accommodations.
