Job Title: Payroll Processor
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Processor to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Remote, Contract to Hire opportunity offers the chance to play a vital role in ensuring accurate employee compensation while supporting payroll compliance and reporting activities across a multi state workforce. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain payroll accuracy, improve operational efficiency, and support a variety of payroll related processes. Candidates who thrive in a detail oriented environment and enjoy working independently while collaborating with cross functional teams will be well suited for this role.
Compensation:
$27.00 - $33.00/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with a start time between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM EST
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Processor:

• Administer payroll activities for a large employee population across multiple pay groups while ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Review payroll records, timekeeping data, and related transactions to identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate payroll adjustments involving earnings, taxes, paid time off balances, reimbursements, incentive payments, and other compensation items.
• Support leave administration efforts by assisting with employee payroll reconciliations and recovery of applicable funds upon return to work.
• Maintain payroll reporting functions, prepare payroll data uploads from spreadsheet based sources, and collaborate with internal teams to address payroll inquiries and operational needs.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing full cycle payroll processing in a multi state environment.
• Working knowledge of payroll regulations, taxation, employee deductions, reimbursements, leave related pay, and other payroll practices.
• Intermediate proficiency with spreadsheet applications, including lookup formulas, data validation, and file conversion for system imports.
• Experience using payroll platforms or human capital management systems; familiarity with payroll administration software is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
