Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Progressive Care Unit - Cardiac

Schedule: Shift: Nights - Shift length: Option of 36 or 48 hours - Weekend requirement: As needed; rotating

Requirements: 2 years of cardiovascular/PCU experience preferred (1+ years considered) - BLS, ACLS, NIH (NIHSS) required; CPI preferred - Proficiency in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation - Experience with management of cardiac drips and post-MI/post-cath care - Central line, PICC, and peripheral IV care; phlebotomy - Non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), HFNC, oxygen therapy - Chest tube care, feeding tube care, wound care - Charting experience: Epic required

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac-focused unit. Monitor patient progress and manage care plans based on telemetry readings. Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as prescribed. Perform nursing procedures such as IV starts, sheath removals, and PCA management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.
