Maintenance Techs

Job Title

Adhere to Freudenberg safety procedures and OSHA guidelines, including correctly and consistently wearing required PPE to work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following corporate and industry safety rules and procedures.

Perform lockout/tag out and Hazardous Energy Control procedures by following inspection and maintenance equipment procedures.

Report employee and safety incidents and machine issues to Supervisor.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and equipment by following the work order.

Perform regular safety, line and boiler system inspections.

Performs scheduled/non-scheduled changeovers and repairs in prescribed methods to resolve equipment problems by using a normal range of hand tools.

Identify and perform basic mechanical repairs to plant equipment to get the equipment back into production by using proper procedures and tools.

Apply good manufacturing practices (GMP's) when performing daily tasks where product or the environment can be negatively affected by referring to plant standards and acting accordingly. Use chemicals in daily tasks and activities by referring to the MSDS sheets and applying the chemicals as prescribed with appropriate safeguards (PPE and fire protection).

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. Fabricates parts for equipment by using the appropriate tools, i.e. welders, torch, grinder.

Communicate and collaborate on the job by effectively working with all plant personnel to perform daily work tasks.

Prepares layout for installations by taking field measurements using appropriate measuring devices.
