Work Environment

Working onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, you will be part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. The center features a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, allowing for productive interactions with patients and staff. The typical schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, ensuring a balanced work/life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized physical therapy assessments to develop tailored treatment plans for each patient based on their unique health goals and challenges.
• Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure comprehensive attention and dedication to each individual's rehabilitation process.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to implement effective treatment strategies and rehabilitation exercises.
• Engage in evidence-based interventions, emphasizing non-surgical alternatives to manage pain and mobility, which reduce the need for medication.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques and modalities specific to patient conditions.
• Conduct regular evaluations to track patient progress, modify treatment strategies, and ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and optimistic environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to maintain detailed healthcare records.
• Promote health and wellness by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical health through customized fitness programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on treating outpatient clients with various orthopedic conditions. This may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will engage with patients of all ages, tailoring approaches to best meet the needs of each demographic, from youthful athletes to elderly individuals reclaiming their mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A clean licensure record, free from sanctions or board proceedings, is essential to maintain our commitment to patient safety and care quality.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and practical experience in designing tailored exercise regimens are a plus.
• Proficiency in EMR software, particularly WebPT, is required for ensuring accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy methodologies and evidence-based practices, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred, particularly in orthopedic care.
• A track record of successfully implementing and monitoring personalized therapy programs, demonstrating strong outcomes for patients.
• Any additional certifications in specialized treatment approaches will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
