To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliObtains patient history and patient family history/liliPerforms quality control checks and operator maintenance for a variety of patient care equipment/liliAssists in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care/liliDocuments care given and patient response in the medical record/liliPrepares patient for physical examination/liliCarries out prescribed nurse initiated, nurse practitioner, and physician orders and documents in patient medical record/liliCommunicates pertinent patient data to the appropriate provider/liliPossesses knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most commonly used emergency drugs and their location/liliRecognizes emergency situations and initiates appropriate resuscitative measures/liliAssists in patient/family education regarding prescribed medications/therapies/diagnostic procedures/liliAssesses patient/family knowledge level, implements plan of instructions, and records patient/family demonstrated level of understanding/liliEnsures content and correctness of a prepared reports and signs documents to validate content/liliParticipates in monitoring quality of care according to professional standards and established procedures/liliResponds to telephone inquiries regarding ward services and/or follow-up ancillary reports/liliAssists with ward related administrative tasks/liliAdministers oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy/liliDemonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the community/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliPossesses a valid, current license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as an LVN and be licensed to practice in the State of California; all licenses must be unencumbered and remain in effect during the time they are providing services under the contract/liliHas been actively practicing as an LPN for at least one year within the past three years/liliIs capable of providing nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients/liliHas and maintains current BLS certification/liliHas documented training and skills verification/liliNo sponsorship available/li/ulpPay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 hourly/ppAll candidates must be able to:/pulliSit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift/liliLift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist/liliLift up to 20 lbs/liliCarry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance/liliPush/pull with 30 lbs of force/li/ulpAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./p/div
