(USA) Area Manager - Floor

What you’ll do Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) Implement the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards and procedures; monitor associate compliance and distribute and maintain procedures and supporting documentation Identify associate, customer, and or supplier concerns by listening, consulting with others, and determining corrective actions or recommendations to resolve issues Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, providing feedback, teaching and modeling logistics and company policies and procedures, identifying training and development needs, and participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation Build high‑performing teams that embrace diversity, create a workplace where associates feel supported and connected, and provide opportunities for all associates to thrive and perform Collaborate, build strong relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence others Attract and retain top talent, empower and develop talent, and recognize others’ contributions and accomplishments Act with integrity by maintaining the highest standards of ethics and compliance, modeling Walmart values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by contributing to the well‑being of associates, customers, and the community Operate in a selfless, humble, self‑aware, honest, fair, and transparent manner Serve customers and members by delivering results, putting the customer first, adapting to how, where, and when customers shop, and applying EDLP and EDLC business models to all plans Make decisions based on data insights and analysis, balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities, and considering customers, associates, shareholders, suppliers, business partners, and communities Strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, learning, taking calculated risks, demonstrating courage and resilience, encouraging learning from mistakes, pursuing continuous improvement, and adopting new technologies and skills to support others through change Benefits At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance‑based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) Stock Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 1 year of Walmart Logistics Management experience OR 2 years of Walmart Logistics experience OR 2 years of supervisory experience. Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
