Key Qualifications: Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Endorsement School-based experience preferred, especially supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and complex communication profiles Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and families to support students educational journeys Core Responsibilities: Conduct thorough speech and language assessments, drafting comprehensive, individualized treatment plans Deliver direct therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Set, monitor, and document progress on communication-focused IEP goals Collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and families to create cohesive support strategies Maintain accurate therapy documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team discussions Apply evidence-based techniques for students with moderate to significant communication, sensory, and social-emotional needs Assignment Details: Full-time, in-person schedule: MondayFriday, 8:45 AM4:00 PM (33.75 hours/week) Caseload centers on the STARS Program for students requiring comprehensive communication and support services Position begins with the 20262027 school year Remote interview process, with hiring decisions made promptly for qualified candidates District fingerprinting required before starting Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $60.00.
