Sumter Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team for 12-hour night shifts.

If you're an LPN who prefers longer shifts and fewer scheduled workdays each week, this opportunity may be a great fit. As a Night Shift LPN, you'll provide hands-on nursing care, monitor resident conditions, administer medications and treatments, and work alongside our nursing team to ensure residents receive exceptional care throughout the night.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions and changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Recognize changes in resident condition and communicate clinical concerns promptly.
• Follow individualized resident care plans and nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, pharmacy, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic nursing documentation.
• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality resident care.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the nursing team.
