Overview The Clinical Social Worker I provides social work evaluation and treatment services to patients and families. Coordinates services with the interdisciplinary team and community agencies to ensure appropriate patient care. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience 1+ years’ experience as a social worker in a medical setting working with children, youth, and families. Education / Licensure / Certification Master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent accreditation. License as a Clinical Social Worker in California (LCSW) is preferred. Non‑licensed social worker is expected to register as a Clinical Social Worker‑Associate (ASW) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and actively pursue licensure. Application process for CCS paneling will be completed within the first 90 days of hire. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Schedule Evening shifts begin at 8:00 p.m., with variable shift days. The position provides overnight social work coverage for both the Emergency Department and the House, totaling 80 hours per pay period. Coverage every other weekend is required. Pay Scale Information $76,960.00-$99,340.80 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
