Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to address mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
- Deliver direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities
- Observe and report resident responses to interventions, including progress and changes in condition, to the supervising PT
- Assist with resident assessments and contribute to documentation and care planning
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and home carryover to promote safety
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and proper use and care of therapy equipment and assistive devices
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support coordinated resident care

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current PTA license in the state of practice (Massachusetts)
- Prior experience in a SNF or geriatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team under the supervision of a licensed PT
