This position will work closely with division leadership to understand business needs and ensure the IT infrastructure and technology support needs of all NSIN and NTSIN (Nucor Towers and Structures Indiana) locations are met. The IT Operations Team Lead will provide leadership, support, and development for the NSIN and NTSIN IT team, leading the technical infrastructure planning and support, provide senior level technical experience, guide day-to-day activities, and ensure work and projects are progressing in a timely and effective manner. This role will also work closely with NBT Shared Services to align local business needs with enterprise technology capabilities, standards, and support models. In addition, this position will play a key role in supporting and accelerating AI and automation initiatives that improve business processes and team effectiveness. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor ­­Business Technology (NBT) will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Due to federal security requirements applicable to this role, only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents are eligible for consideration.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Managing virtual local or cloud platforms such as VMWare environments and/or Azure Computing, including storage and networking Windows server administration Lead security and system patching and drive security culture Active Directory, Certificates, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Entra ID, MS365 administration Data backup, testing, and recovery Work a rotational on-call IT support schedule to include evenings and weekends as assigned Provide mentorship to IT infrastructure and technical support peers Translating business needs into technical solutions and keeping leadership informed about risks, progress, and resource needs Minimum Qualifications:5+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and Operations, including configuring and managing server environments Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or 7+ years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations Demonstratable experience leading a team or large projects with other team members 3+ years experience with VMware design and administration 5+ years of significant experience with Veeam or other backup systems 5+ years with security patching operating systems and infrastructurePreferred Qualifications:7+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and Operations Managing virtual cloud platforms such as VMWare Environments, VMware Cloud Foundations (VCF) and/or Azure Computing, including storage, network, and container applications Manufacturing-related IT experience with OT environments and systems Linux administration experience SQL Server and Oracle database management or knowledge Scripting experience, including but not limited to PowerShell and bash script Experience with data center design including environmental control requirements Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
