Job Responsibilities

  • Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and create individualized therapy strategies that promote their functional aspirations
  • Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Employ researched practices to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily life functions
  • Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work hand-in-hand with OTs, PTs, STs, healthcare providers, and nursing staff to provide well-rounded care
  • Guide Patients and Caregivers: Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring sustained progress beyond the clinical setting
  • Track and Assess Progress: Document clinical outcomes meticulously and modify treatment plans as necessary, keeping patients on track

Education Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Encouragement and support for continuing education and post-graduate certifications

Certifications

  • Currently active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • Required certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
