Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom mechanical equipment and engineered solutions for industrial applications.
• Produce detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using CAD software.
• Select components and materials while balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Partner with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support new product development and resolve design challenges.
• Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through production.
• Provide technical support during assembly, testing, and implementation to ensure successful product delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing existing designs, standardizing components, and improving engineering processes.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience within a manufacturing or industrial equipment environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software; Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating engineering documentation, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, structural designs, or heavy industrial equipment is highly desirable.
