About the Role:

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas within accommodation facilities. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. The supervisor oversees daily operations, inspects work quality, and implements efficient cleaning procedures to meet organizational policies and health regulations. They also manage inventory, schedule staff shifts, and provide training to enhance team performance and service quality. Ultimately, the Housekeeping Supervisor contributes to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment that positively impacts guest experiences and supports the establishment’s reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in hospitality management or related field.
• Experience working in a hotel, resort, or similar accommodation environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management and scheduling software.
• Leadership training or supervisory development courses.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hospitality industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping team members to promote professional development and improve service quality.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor attendance to optimize workforce efficiency and coverage.
• Address guest requests and resolve complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall hotel operations and guest services.
