What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, waiting areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and/or policy concerns in accordance with site guidelines.
• Support hospital operations by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and maintaining a visible presence in public and restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
