SkillBridge Internship – Field Technician Job Code: 507509 Expiring Date: 21-Mayo-2026 Company: Siemens (Smart Infrastructure, Internal Services) This position is a Field Technician/Specialist internship through the SkillBridge program exclusively for active‑duty U.S. military service members with approval to participate. Participants will gain hands‑on experience working with HVAC/building automation, fire/life safety, and integrated security systems, and may be offered full‑time employment upon successful completion. Key Business Groups Building Automation – HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, Mechanical/Electrical Services Fire/Life Safety – Fire Alarm, Mass/Emergency Communication, Sprinkler/Suppression Security – Integrated Surveillance and Access Controls Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities Diagnose system malfunctions for HVAC, Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security equipment; repair, maintain or install new equipment and commission as needed. Consult with internal engineering and management teams on drawing discrepancies or emerging issues. Complete service work documentation, provide training instructions to customers, and recommend system enhancements to add value. Desired Military Experience, Backgrounds & Aptitude Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Systems Nuclear Engineering/Power/Energy & Nuclear Plant Operation Satellite/Radar Systems Basic Qualifications Active duty U.S. military personnel only; program acceptance requires military approval. High‑school diploma or state‑recognized GED required. Experience or aptitude in mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or related systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer interface and teamwork proficiency. Ability to work on‑site and travel locally as needed. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship. Minimum age 18 with a valid driver’s license (limited violations permitted). Preferred Qualifications U.S. military experience at rank E‑5 or above (all branches). Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in demand‑side energy services or certified Energy Manager credential. Familiarity with HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems.
