Job Summary Leidos' Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Research Scientist to join a talented team supporting advanced radar systems research and development in a high‑fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Candidates will set up, test, analyze, and evaluate radar and weapon system performance using modeling and simulation of air defense systems. Primary Responsibilities Support M&S configuration, testing, and data analysis activities of radar and weapon systems to determine performance capabilities. Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills in support of analysis products and presentations. Work with a team to find solutions to novel, complex, and non‑traditional questions. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or other technical degree from an ABET‑accredited institution plus 2+ years of M&S experience. Proficient in programming (Python preferred, MATLAB, etc.). U.S. citizen, able to maintain an active Secret Clearance. Resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate. Preferred Qualifications Active Top‑Secret Clearance. Radar/air defense systems M&S experience. Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or other technical degree from an ABET‑accredited institution. Experience with large military networks (IBCS, CEC, C2BMC, etc.). Knowledge of radar algorithms and techniques (search, track, discrimination, etc.). Experience working in a Linux operating environment. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $69,550 – $125,725.
