POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an Elite Senior Data Engineer with 11+ years of experience and deep hands-on coding expertise to join a hybrid engagement based out of Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on designing, developing, and expanding new features within an established enterprise data framework using Python and PySpark. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating robust standalone scripts based on complex business logic, optimizing high-volume ETL workflows, and ensuring architectural data integrity while working closely with onshore and cross-functional teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and implement highly scalable features and data models within our existing analytics framework using PySpark and Object-Oriented Python.
• Write efficient, effective standalone scripts and data transformation routines that accurately execute complex enterprise business logic.
• Optimize and scale ETL workflows and database architectures to ensure seamless data integration, data accuracy, and system efficiency.
• Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and profile optimization of big data pipelines to isolate and resolve software or infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholder groups to translate product requirements into technical data engineering specifications.
• Produce clean, granular engineering documentation covering codebases, pipeline topologies, and troubleshooting procedures for long-term knowledge sharing.
