Summary This position may be located in one of the following Institutes: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), or National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). This position will serve as a Health Specialist and will be responsible for planning, coordination, implementation activities for assigned research programs and the management and evaluation of grant applications. - • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing activities for assigned research programs and the management and evaluation of grant applications.
- • Review data and progress reports, and implements corrective actions needed to achieve adequate research progress.
- • Participate in the development of Program Announcements, Requests for Applications, and Requests for Proposals in areas of research.
- • Plan and execute analytic research projects and researches the quality of methodologies and measures pertinent to the assessment and summarization of the health status of Americans.
- • Identify inadequacies and inconsistencies in data and inform higher-level specialists data issues.
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
- Employment is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation, verification of qualifications, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, and any other job-related requirement before or after appointment.
- Applicants must meet all qualifications requirements within thirty (30) calendar days of the closing date of this announcement, including time in grade.

- Based on your appointment, a one year trial/probationary period may be required. A decision regarding your continued employment with NIH will be made as you near the end of this period.
