Position Overview

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Surgery

To meet the needs of the region and provide seamless, high-quality, comprehensive surgical care, we are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join an established group of three General Surgeons and four Vascular Surgeons in Binghamton, NY. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of surgeons committed to delivering outstanding patient care across a diverse patient population.

What will you do?

• Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care, including open and endovascular procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research opportunities.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities for residents and medical students.
• Work alongside a collaborative and collegial team of physicians and administrative leaders.

Location

Binghamton, NY, is located approximately 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY. It is a progressive college town offering a strong healthcare presence, a safe living environment, and a diverse community with nearby lakes, ski resorts, golf courses, wineries, a symphony orchestra, and an opera company.

Annual Compensation Range

The position includes a competitive starting salary of $627,854 to $750,000 along with bonus incentives, a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice insurance with tail coverage.

Formed in 1981 through the consolidation of three community hospitals, United Health Services Hospitals employs more than 6,000 people. As a teaching hospital affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, and Binghamton University’s Health Sciences Center, UHS trains over 100 physicians per year in residency and fellowship programs.
