Senior Project Manager – Englewood, Colorado Requirements Engineering: Bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering discipline; degree meets state eligibility requirements for licensing. Engineering: Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer (PE). Experience & Knowledge & Skills (KSA) Advanced – 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including proven performance as a Project Manager III. Knowledge – Project management methodologies, lifecycle, industry standards, city, state, federal rules, tools/software (Microsoft suite, Vantagepoint, Smartsheet, etc.), quality management. Skills – Leadership, communication, time, risk, quality and financial management, negotiation, problem‑solving. Ability – Strategic thinking, prioritization, delegation, collaboration, high‑accuracy execution. Complexity & Decision‑Making Authority Responsible for success of large, complex projects. Must be listed as a Project Manager or Sponsor in Vantagepoint. Independently performs all assignments, addresses moderate‑complexity staff questions, escalates critical and financial matters, identifies improvement areas, and recommends corrective action. Responsibilities Financial Management Utilize weekly budget reports, project reports, accounts receivable, and staff utilization to manage projects and resources; escalates staffing needs to Department Manager. Prepare scope of work, LOE and schedules; identify out‑of‑scope requests and prepare proposals for additional authorizations. Collect invoices from clients and other Project Managers; coordinate with Department Manager for delayed payment risk plans. Corporate Compliance & Risk Assessment Ensure contract and subcontract reviews complete through Contracts Department and filing; adhere to signature matrix protocol. Review and markup contracts, negotiate client contract modifications; knowledge of key contract review elements (indemnification, warranty, etc.). Negotiate payment terms with client. Ensure QA/QC process from proposals to deliverables. Identify preclusions on pursuits and teaming opportunities. Communication & Collaboration Accountable for clear communications within department, other disciplines, regions, and corporate resources. Articulate project requirements, timelines, deliverables in concise manner. Provide and document project and company communication to clients and staff. Assist marketing with RFQ, proposals, interview preparation, teaming, resumes; write project approaches for RFQ. Client & Internal Satisfaction Responsive and accessible, anticipate needs, proactively offer solutions, address complex problems timely, and follow up for satisfaction. Oversee multiple clients and maintain professional rapport. People Development Provide timely feedback, annual evaluations. Ensure adequate staffing and recruitment of project team members. Delegate, train, mentor, and supervise junior staff and other project managers. Exhibit leadership skills, set clear and realistic goals. Technical Scope Familiar with ASCE 38‑22 & 75‑22 Understands SUE processes / quality levels Basic records research (811) Reconciling field discrepancies Reading plans / as‑builts Coordinate support vendors Familiar with SUE equipment Understand Utility Design Conflict analysis / matrix Land / local regulations for SUE UESI training New technology in SUE / Survey Software Tools AutoCAD, MicroStation, ORD Esri‑based data collection software BlueBeam / Adobe Company Characteristics We Collaborate – Professional attitude and communication priority. Physical/Cognitive Requirements Seated and standing position; extended periods of sitting and standing in upright workstation. Mobility: movement within office and job sites. Neck movement: forward flexion, extension, lateral rotation while using multiple screens. Repetitive motion: finger movements for mouse and typing. Arm movement: extending hands/arms overhead, below waist, forward, laterally. Object handling: raising or lowering objects. Cognitive requirements: selective attention, oral comprehension, etc. Office conditions: use of electronic devices, cutting tools. Outdoor conditions: uneven surfaces, confined spaces, weather exposure. Safety and equipment: personal protective equipment, hand and power tools. Driving and vehicle use: large pickup trucks with trailers, watercraft. Expected Work Hours Full‑time, 40 hours per week; may fluctuate for overtime. Operating hours Mon‑Fri, 7:30 AM‑4:30 PM CST; 1‑hour unpaid lunch; hours may differ for field staff. Work Location Flexibility Eligible for hybrid schedule after training period.
