Contract Based Business / Data Analyst (IT) Title: Business / Data Analyst (IT) Location: Quincy, MA Hire Type: Contract Duration: 8+ Months Job Description: Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs from user instructions or formal functional specifications. Experience in the analysis and testing phases in the development cycle. In addition having experience of 6+ years. Questions For Suppliers: Must-have: • Information Security/Risk Management experience • Familiarity with folder permissions on file servers • Strong analytical skills Nice to have: • Past experience at Client. • Financial industry experience • Experience with Varonis DatAdvantage software What type of background would you like this person to have? How many years of experience are required? • I am looking for more experience (more like 5 years) and more advanced analytical skills than the advanced position. The focus will be more on the analysis with some project management work. What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Please be specific. • A typical day for this position would be to review folder permission reports and identify improper folder permissions. They would then do additional analysis to determine if removing these permissions would create a potential business disruption. Following that, they could come up with a plan to resolve any improper permissions issues. They will also assist with collecting data for monthly project metrics. Is this role supporting a specific project or initiative, which project or initiative is this role supporting? • Common Share Remediation What are the working hours, time zone? • Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM (actual hours are somewhat flexible) The role will be based in Quincy and expected to be in the office from Monday through Thursday. What training will be provided for this contractor and what are first day expectations? • The person will shadow the current Project Manager, who will go over processes and procedures and also train on the tools that are used.
