Industry Advisor

We’re seeking a CISO Advisor & Field CTO for Trusted Services to join our Platform Specialist team. In this senior advisory role, you will serve as the bridge between Salesforce’s security capabilities and the CISO/InfoSec community, engaging security leaders at the C‑suite level to understand their enterprise security challenges and accelerating trust and adoption of Salesforce Trusted Services solutions. Responsibilities Engage directly with CISOs, CIOs, and InfoSec leaders to understand their security priorities beyond Salesforce, including AI initiatives. Articulate Salesforce platform and AI security controls in language that resonates with security leaders, referencing frameworks such as NIST, SOX, DORA, and NYDFS. Guide customers on how to secure their enterprise for the agentic future, positioning security as an accelerator for Agentforce adoption. Engage and educate Salesforce platform owners and architects on necessary security controls and translate between Salesforce and IT/Infosec professionals. Conduct discovery of enterprise security policies, procedures, and systems to uncover critical gaps in identity/access management, integrations, event log monitoring, AI governance, and data lifecycle. Lead and facilitate multi‑customer security roundtables, executive dinners, and industry conference sessions such as Gartner CISO Summit. Support high‑complexity, high‑value security opportunities as a technical and strategic executive sponsor across accounts such as financial services, healthcare, and regulated government. Develop and deliver original cybersecurity frameworks, thought leadership content, and technical enablement for internal and partner enablement programs. Serve as the primary feedback loop between enterprise CISOs and Salesforce product and engineering teams, translating customer concerns into actionable product insights. Collaborate with partners to scale security delivery, represent Salesforce in CISO‑to‑partner conversations, and drive joint thought leadership. Qualifications 15+ years of IT cybersecurity leadership, consulting or analyst experience, including senior CISO or InfoSec roles. Deep advisory experience engaging C‑suite security leaders and expertise in AI governance and security. Fluency with enterprise security frameworks and regulations: NIST CSF, SOX, DORA, NYDFS, CMMC. Demonstrated experience building and delivering thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and conference presentations. Strong familiarity with the SaaS security ecosystem, including SSPM solutions, SIEM platforms, and identity/access management. Experience or rapid learning of Salesforce security products (Shield, Security Center, Event Monitoring, Backup & Recovery) strongly preferred. Proven ability to drive revenue influence and pipeline acceleration through executive‑level security engagement. Advanced degree (Master’s or above) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience welcomed. Excellent executive communication and presentation skills; ability to navigate multiple internal stakeholders. Willingness to travel for in‑person executive engagements and events. Why Join Us? Compensation The typical base salary range for this position is $208,180‑$278,460 annually.
