Data Quality Lead

The individual will be a member of the Enterprise Data Governance & Quality team as part of the greater Enterprise Data Management team reporting to the Data Governance & Quality Manager. The primary objectives of the Data Governance and Data Quality team include: implementation of best in class Data Governance and Data Quality toolsets; creation and promotion of best practices for governance and quality management of all of the firm's data; oversight of the rollout and adoption of the aforementioned tools across the firm's data and the establishment of a Semantic Data Modeling practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Data Governance team on quality metrics necessary to drive improvement and demonstrate execution of greater strategy.
  • Implement training and monitor adoption of Data Quality within distributed data management teams. Provide subject matter expertise.
  • Establish reusable process tools and best practices for Data Quality analysis, tracking, cleansing and escalation.
  • Establish clean process for managing Business Rules to align to Data Quality metrics.

Required Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus.
  • 5+ years financial industry experience with relevant experience working either directly in a data management, regulatory reporting or operational project team is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access and MSSQL is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lineage concepts is required.
  • Working knowledge of Data Quality tools such as Trillium, Ataccama, Information Builders iWay, or other such tools is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Master Data Management processes and policies is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries to a timeline while negotiating deliverables with key partners.
  • Working knowledge of a Business Process Management tool is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and/or Eagle PACE is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, MSCI, Thomson Reuters and other market data providers is a plus.
  • Comfortable working both independently and on a team.
  • High energy and positive attitude – candidate should be conscientious, self-directed and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
