Senior Investment Professional, Enterprise Portfolio Management

Job Summary Senior Investment Professional – Finance Department (Nationwide, Columbus, OH). 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Must reside within 35 miles of One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215. This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Key Responsibilities Use significant judgement on moderate to complex Asset/Liability Management (ALM) and Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) problems for mid–large, moderately complex accounts. Accountable for multiple processes or programs and may have input on department budgets. Provide strategic contributions as a senior individual contributor to the team and business partners. Help optimize investment portfolio allocations under insurance liability constraints, economic capital, and rating agency capital considerations. Partner with other areas of Nationwide to design investment policy targets and limits. Build and utilize quantitative models and analytical frameworks to evaluate asset allocation strategies, market scenarios, and assess profitability, risk, and competitiveness. Support portfolio strategy for product pricing, institutional transactions, and corporate development initiatives. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships Reports to Senior Investment Professional or Investment Leader. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (MBA preferred). 8 to 12 years of investment experience in asset/liability management (ALM), enterprise risk management (ERM), or similar field. Experience in fixed income securities, including corporate bonds, CMO, MBS, ABS and commercial mortgage loans. Knowledge of pre‑payment and default models, economic capital, and rating agency capital requirements of various asset classes. Proficiency with database tools, cash‑flow modeling, fixed income portfolio modeling software, and actuarial models. Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven analytical ability, and excellent attention to detail. Leadership skills and competencies are valued. Job Conditions Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt). Working Conditions: Normal office environment; some travel may be required. Credit Check: Valid credit check and/or background check required. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $134,000.00 – $224,000.00 (depending on qualifications and experience). Paid Time Off: Minimum 18 days paid time off each full calendar year, prorated quarterly based on hire date. Holidays: Nine paid holidays. Additional paid time: 8 hours Lifetime PTO, 8 hours Unity Day PTO. Retirement: 401(k) with company match; company‑paid pension plan. Health: Medical, dental, vision coverage.
