About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Transportation Underwriting to take on a newly created leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction to all departments in line with state insurance and insurance company guidelines. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of new products and programs, as well as managing relationships with carriers and brokers. The role is pivotal in the company's operations, and the VP will be expected to be a top performer in the commercial auto/truck underwriting market, with a focus on succession planning. Candidates for the VP of Transportation Underwriting position at the company must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in underwriting for property and casualty within the transportation or truck industry. Experience in commercial auto, public auto, moving and storage, or related fields is also considered. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years' of experience in managing an underwriting department is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, be decisive, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
