About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be a key contributor to Kinsale's Finance team driving the close process, supporting statutory and regulatory reporting, and playing an active role in process improvement initiatives. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside finance and cross-functional colleagues who value accuracy, initiative, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

• Drive the close process through preparation of a broad range of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries, including insurance and reinsurance entries, intercompany transactions, expense allocations, tax accruals, and investment activity.
• Assist with ERP system administration and general-ledger maintenance.
• Actively participate in identifying and implementing process improvements, including the adoption of AI-driven workflows.
• Assist with accounting for reinsurance arrangements and related reporting.
• Prepare internal controls and relevant reporting packages for assigned process areas.
• Record and report certain compliance-facing tax filings and issue related payments.
• Serve as a key contributor in the preparation of quarterly statutory reporting schedules.
• Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance-related field preferred.
• Two to four years of accounting experience required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred.
• One to three years of related insurance experience preferred.
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency, with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with NetSuite and prior use or implementation of AI tools is a plus.

Salary Range: $85,000 -$100,000 This posted range is our best estimate; starting salaries may vary. Additionally, the posted range reflects only base salary and does not include annual bonuses, benefits, or reimbursements.
