We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 15-week contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients , including continuous airway management, invasive and non-invasive ventilator support, and emergency respiratory interventions.

Candidates must have previous travel assignment experience and be comfortable managing a diverse acute-care patient population. The position utilizes Epic documentation and respiratory equipment including PB 980, PB 840, V60, and ParaPAC transport ventilators.

• Provide continuous airway management and comprehensive respiratory therapy services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and provide respiratory support according to patient condition and provider orders.

• Assess respiratory status, monitor treatment response, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals regarding respiratory care needs.

• Participate in CPR and emergency respiratory interventions while responding promptly to changes in patient condition.

• Operate respiratory equipment safely, maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic, and follow established respiratory care protocols.

• Minimum 2 Years of Respiratory Therapy Experience Required; First-Time Travelers Are Not Accepted.

• Current Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License Required by the Start of the Assignment.

• Current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications Required.

• Experience Providing Respiratory Care to Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal Patients Required; RRT Credential and NRP Certification Preferred.

• Proof of Flu Vaccination or Approved Medical/Religious Exception Required Before Start; Candidate Must Be Available for Required Pre-Start Employee Health Clearance.
