Why This Role Matters The Janitor independently cleans restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes/pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators/escalators, and other work areas. Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping floors; removing trash and other materials for recycling; dusting furniture or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; replenishing restroom supplies. What You Will Do Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes/pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators/escalators, and other work areas. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture. Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment; polish metalwork and fittings. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, and sills. Empty wastebaskets, transport trash to disposal areas, and recycle materials appropriately. Replenish restroom supplies as needed. Follow all safety standards and proper use of cleaning equipment. Maintain quality work and appropriate conduct in line with Didlake policies. Complete and maintain all required Didlake training. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred; or Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience Skills & Abilities Female applicants only, as this position requires a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) based on gender due to monitoring women's restrooms. A valid Real ID is required to access this worksite. Ability to understand and carry out simple and detailed verbal instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with coworkers with disabilities. Basic knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and safety procedures. Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate standard custodial equipment and tools.
