Description 287 Fire, a division of Super Vacuum Manufacturing, is searching for a Emergency Vehicle Technician/Heavy Truck Mechanic in Haltom City, Texas. 287 Fire is the leading Rosenbauer dealer for the states of Texas and Oklahoma. If you are interested in supporting the dedicated staff who build equipment that saves lives. Essential Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems, water pumps & valves, transfer cases, suspension components, air brake systems, differentials, motors, heating/air conditioning systems, instruments & gauges, and other fire truck systems or components Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to learn quickly Other duties as assigned Requirements At least 2 years of experience in a diesel or heavy equipment maintenance shop Must be able to lift 70+ pounds Must be able to climb ladders EVT experience and/or Heavy Truck certifications, ASE certifications preferred Will consider aircraft A&P or automotive experience with licenses/certs/military experience Must be willing to travel Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and criminal background check Benefits: Paid Time Off and Sick Time 401K Matching Health and Dental Benefits Life Insurance Dental Bill Reimbursements 9 Paid Holidays We believe your Birthday is a holiday and is a treated as such!
