Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Compensation: $107.64 - $119.60 per hour Department: Mental Health Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment. Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up. Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services. Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on‑call coverage. Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master of Science in Nursing or Post‑Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a PMHNP required (may be waived with approval of the Vice President of Advanced Practice Program). Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred. Licenses/Certifications Unrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice. Current board certification as a PMHNP.
