Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Spine and Neuro experience for a high-volume, 20-room OR in a Level 3 trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
• Surgical Services department with 20 operating rooms handling 40-50 cases per day
• Case mix heavy in spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
• Preferred case exposure includes orthopedic and general surgery procedures
• Day shift (3x12, 6:45a-7:15p) and evening shift (3x12, 2:45p-2:45a) options available
• Will work weekends as needed and on-call as required
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Epic (Excellian) charting system used, experience preferred
• Preferred experience with Da Vinci Xi robotics

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required in specialty
• BLS and NBSTSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
• Inpatient and trauma setting experience required
• Skilled in crash cart management, scrubbing, and aseptic technique
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Pending state license accepted
• 1 supervisor reference required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Supports a high-acuity surgical caseload across multiple specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility as needed
• Scrub attire provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift if previously employed as perm staff or per diem
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius restriction applies
• MN fingerprinting required as a compliance step prior to starting onsite
• Pre-start modules required, averaging 8 hours of completion time
