Desired Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
• Experience with life skills or alternate curriculum classrooms
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel
• Compassionate, adaptable, and centered on student success
• Previous experience at the elementary and/or high school level is highly valued

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify daily lesson plans based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Foster life skills and functional academic development within the classroom
• Collaborate with related service providers, instructional aides, and families
• Track progress, conduct assessments, and maintain detailed documentation
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing team collaboration
