Overview Job Location: Emergency Dept - FMC Main Campus - Lancaster, OH 43130 Position Type: Contingent .10 Travel Percentage: No Driving Required Job Shift: Variable Job Category: Clinical Support Pay Rate: $17.94-$29.53 hourly Responsibilities Delivers direct patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. Responds to the demands of changing patient acuity in a positive, efficient manner. Practices quality service as evidenced through QI results and patient satisfaction. Performs minimally-invasive patient procedures. Completes quick registration. Facilitates the patient transport to the needed area, including assisting patients from vehicles as needed. Stocks adequate equipment and supplies needed for emergencies. Utilizes communication equipment including tracking board and/or radio as necessary. Distributes patient visitor cards as appropriate. Monitor visitors access. Visually scans and monitors waiting room patients to determine need for re-assessment and communicates changes to triage or other available staff. Monitors cleanliness of waiting room and North entrance; requests housekeeping services as needed. Documents patient care using a computerized Clinical Documentation System. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Valid Ohio paramedic license required. Current CPR & ACLS certification required. PALS certification preferred. Attend a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention class within 6 months of employment. One year Paramedic experience preferred. Physical Demands Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fairfield Medical Center
