Profession: Ultrasound Tech Specialty: Vascular Location: Plainview, TX Facility: Short Term Acute Care Job Type: Contract Hourly Pay Rate: $83 Shift: 40hrs - 4x10 7:00am-5:30p Duration: 13weeks First-timers accepted: N/A Weekend Req: Yes On-Call On Call Req: Yes Skills Required: Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations of the arterial and venous systems of the upper and lower extremities, carotid arteries, abdominal vessels, and other vascular structures. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and Doppler waveforms for physician interpretation. Evaluate blood flow and identify abnormalities such as stenosis, occlusions, aneurysms, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Prepare, position, and educate patients before and during procedures. Accurately document patient information and exam findings in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks. Follow facility policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Experience Required: 2 yrs License Required: ARDMS or ARRT Certifications Required: BLS (AHA)
