Charge NurseTrinitas Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). In this leadership role, you will provide expert clinical care to post-operative patients while coordinating unit operations during your designated shift. As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will serve as a resource for staff, promote high-quality patient care, and support a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on exceptional clinical outcomes.Schedule: Monday – Friday | Flex Shift | 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM On-Call Requirements ApplyThis Position is for You If:You are an experienced PACU nurse who enjoys combining direct patient care with clinical leadership.You excel in fast-paced environments where critical thinking and rapid decision-making are essential.You are passionate about ensuring safe, high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia.You enjoy mentoring staff, coordinating patient flow, and supporting operational excellence.You thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork and communication are essential to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.What You'll DoProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures.Perform advanced clinical assessments, monitor patients' recovery, and intervene promptly to prevent complications.Assess and manage airway, ventilation, circulation, pain, nausea, and post-operative recovery.Monitor vital signs and operate specialized post-anesthesia monitoring equipment.Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to support efficient patient throughput.Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and discharge instructions.Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.Serve as the Clinical Nurse Coordinator during assigned shifts by providing clinical oversight, staff support, and operational leadership.Assist with staff scheduling, productivity management, inventory oversight, and quality improvement initiatives.Mentor nursing staff while promoting professional development, teamwork, and accountability.Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.Qualifications RequiredCurrent New Jersey Registered Nurse LicenseMinimum 2 years of PACU nursing experienceAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hireCertified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) within 1 year of hirePreferredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current CPAN CertificationWhat Makes You Successful The Ideal Candidate DemonstratesExceptional clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsStrong leadership and sound clinical judgmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA patient-first mindset with a commitment to compassionate careThe ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining efficiencyExperience mentoring, coaching, and supporting nursing staffStrong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teamsA commitment to High Reliability principles, patient safety, and continuous quality improvementThe ability to advocate for patients, families, and colleagues while fostering a positive work environmentWhy Trinitas Regional Medical Center?
