Position: Traffic Analysis Engineer Location: Fayetteville, AR Job Id: 6957 # of Openings: 1 Garver is seeking a highly-motivated Traffic Analysis Engineer in our Fayetteville, AR office to add to our growing traffic and transportation planning team. The ideal candidate would have 5-10 years of related experience, a sharp technical background, and strong passion for the profession. The position will offer the candidate an opportunity to play a key role in analyzing and designing exciting projects for our DOT and municipal clients across our client footprint.Applicants must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team. This position will be supervised by a Senior Project Manager and offers outstanding growth opportunity and career advancement to the right individual.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:Performing traffic and safety studiesPerforming traffic simulation and level of service analysisDeveloping access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignmentsDeveloping traffic signal timing plansPreparing summary documentation and reportsCoordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clientsAdditional duties include:Assisting with project management to identify project scopes, fees, and monitoring project progress.Maintaining a client-focused, service attitude by tracking budgets, and keeping projects on schedule.Preparing project proposals and giving interviews for project pursuitsPerforming direct client marketing and developing relationships with existing clients within our service areaMentoring less experienced staffRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree for an ABET accredited engineering program4 - 8 years of experience with traffic specific projectsMust have excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or have ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Working knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual is requiredWorking knowledge in capacity analysis, traffic projections, and safety analysis (including HSM) is requiredWorking knowledge of traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS is requiredExperience in analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundaboutsProficient in Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in civil engineeringExperience in Transportation planning and travel demand modeling (TransCAD)Experience using ArcGIS for data analysis including review of large sets of crash data to spatial map and analyze for trends and clusters.Experience with pedestrian and bicycle improvement projects and studiesExperience in marketing and managing local government projectsExperience working with MODOT and municipalities in MissouriCertification as a PTOE and/or RSPGrow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
