Procurement Category Manager

LGC Group seeks a Procurement Category Manager to develop sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and optimize spend for the Diagnostics and Genomics Business Unit. The role combines category expertise with process improvement leadership and team management responsibilities in Petaluma, CA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and market analysis
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFx processes, negotiations, and contracting
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and manage supplier risk
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements and standardized ways of working
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and ensure compliance with procurement policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years of procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing experience
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and change management
- Team management skills and proficiency in ERP and e-sourcing platforms
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication abilities
Compensation: $124,440–$168,360 base per year
