Maintenance ManagerChampion Home Builders is looking for Maintenance Manager for our Dresden, TN plant.Job Title: Maintenance ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptSummary Monitors and tracks usage and repair of tools and equipment, orders new equipment or repair work as needed by performing the following duties personally.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Organize and document all required maintenance records for cranes, hoists, forklifts, tractors and fleet vehicles.Negotiates with vendors for new tool orders and repairs for equipment in the plant.Monitor inventory of all tools and equipment to prevent theft and loss.Investigate abuse and excessive damage to tools and equipment to control costs to facility.Manage log of tools assigned to each employee to prevent loss.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3+ years relevant experience in maintenanceExtensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systemsPrevious managerial experience highly preferredExperience managing multiple vendorsCan effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilitiesMakes safety a priority at all timesWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
