Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Corpus Christi, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position is based in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care to high-acuity patients, including post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery, patients on Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT, and other critically ill individuals with multiple comorbidities and drips. The nurse will deliver both routine and complex care by practicing independently and demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects within a critical care environment. Job Details: Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only), RN License in the state of Texas or compact license. Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in critical care nursing, previous experience with Epic electronic health record system. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepting by trained staff and successful completion of organizational entry competencies and critical care-specific competency validation are required. Completion of annual competency verification is also necessary. Experience with post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery, Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT, and managing high acuity patients with multiple drips is highly desirable.
