Senior IT Manager - AI Engineering

Salary: $113,507.64 - 198,612.36 per year Requirements:

• We prefer a bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• We need at least 8-10 years of hands-on experience delivering AI or software engineering initiatives, including substantial time in a formal people-management role.
• We require prior direct management of engineering or technical talent, including experience leading other managers or squad leads, with responsibility for performance management and career development.
• We value experience working with both offshore and onsite personnel.
• We need experience in process architecture focused on analyzing, simplifying, and improving existing workflows, supported by data and BI tools for tracking key benchmarks.
• We require a strong hands-on programming background in Java and/or Python, plus software architecture and engineering experience building services such as MSA, SOA, and integrations; architect-level experience is strongly preferred.
• We need experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and pipeline development.
• We require hands-on experience building and leading engineering squads on Google Cloud Platform.
• We need experience creating operational dashboards, telemetry setups, and alerting templates for end-to-end data services using APM and data logging tools such as AppDynamics and DataDog.
• We expect a solid understanding of software design patterns and modern engineering standards.
• We need a hands-on technical leader who can work alongside and guide cross-functional squads of software engineers, software architects, data scientists, and software quality engineers.
• We value strong leadership, interpersonal relationship-building, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of our business and application data domains, and how they integrate with core enterprise and third-party systems, is a plus.

• We lead and develop multiple AI engineering and innovation teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• We partner with business and technology leaders to define AI priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans aligned to strategic goals.
• We drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI-powered products and solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• We provide technical direction across solution architecture, engineering practices, code quality, testing, security, and performance.
• We build, coach, and retain high-performing teams through hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• We oversee AI initiatives from concept through production, ensuring quality, reliability, and measurable business value.
• We collaborate with Product, Data Science, Platform Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• We manage budgets, vendor relationships, project plans, and team capacity to support execution of key initiatives.
• We improve Agile delivery practices, engineering standards, and software development processes.
• We monitor operational performance, resolve risks and dependencies, and ensure the ongoing support and scalability of AI solutions.
• We build strong relationships with internal business partners and communicate progress, results, and strategic recommendations.
• We stay current on emerging AI technologies and industry trends to help shape our AI strategy and innovation roadmap.
• We follow all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
• We perform additional duties as assigned by management.
