Production Supervisor

Position Summary The production supervisor coordinates and assigns the activities of production workers, ensures production targets are met, maintains quality standards, and drives P&L results. This role supervises production operations within an assigned area or during assigned shifts. 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:40 PM, Monday–Friday Pay Rate: $18.00 / $20.00 plus 15% differential and 10% IGOR Duties and Responsibilities Supervise workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment. Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily key performance indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations. Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success. Provide first‑level support for any escalated issue during the work shift. Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics. Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure service level agreements are met and issues are promptly resolved. Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment. Assist in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling. Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required. Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure the department has sufficient inventory levels to meet demand and is staffed appropriately. Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors. All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports. Required Skills and Experience 1+ year of leadership experience; materials/distribution environment preferred. Capable problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, demonstrating a strategic approach focused on results and continuous improvement. Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication. Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred Skills and Experience Previous experience working in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair) or forward logistics operation. Supervising temporary staff. Experience with UKG and Kronos. General knowledge of OSHA standards. Educational Requirements Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
